How many words equal trust?

Think for a moment about things that have lots of words. Now exclude books and novels. Now what is left? ¬†Of these, how much do you trust the organisation behind the words? I don’t mean how much you have to trust them (in other words because you have no choice). I simply mean – how much do you trust them? Looking at it another way, from the number of words can you tell how much they trust you? Do you feel trusted or do you feel suspect?

Now compare your own communications. People or companies with whom you can communicate by email using less than ten words… What does this mean? What does it tell you about the relationship you have? What does it tell you about a relationship when you need to carefully labor over each phrase, sentence, paragraph?

Is there a pattern emerging between the number of words needed and the amount of implicit trust?
